Every year we try to make a number of improvements, so that our cottage stays up to date, luxurious and well equipped. This is to give our guests a wonderful, luxurious and comfortable holiday on the beautiful island of Ameland.
New tableware. We have replaced the tableware and cutlery. The old Roompot tableware has been replaced by a design set from VT Wonen.
Bollards at the entrance of our path. In our park, guests of other cottages sometimes have the rudeness to walk through our grounds to the road. That is shorter, especially for guests of cottages with dogs. We have now placed 2 bollards at the entrance of our grounds with a sign (No Through Passage). If this is not sufficient, a sea cable will be attached.
The garden was done by Hovenier Nagtegaal. The woodwork and the outdoor tables have been waxed and sprayed. New shells on the path. New planted dunes.
Both bedrooms now have a new Smart TV (LG32).
The cottage has received a new look: new cushions, new throws and lamps, a new chair, all in modern materials and colours. New bedside tables in the bedrooms. A new TV unit with a new Samsung Neo QLED Smart TV.
The gardener Nagtegaal did the garden and removed a leaning pine tree, and then planted 2 young pines. This year the inside of the house gets a new look; we have started with the walls.
May 2024: in addition to the coffee filter machine, there is now also a Nespresso.
March 2024: a cushion storage box. The cushions can now be stored in a box for the night. The little dune in front of the house has new planting.
Rietdekker Faber has provided the roof with new thatch. In April the entire exterior was neatly painted again.
In January 2021, first a new washing machine and tumble dryer. In April 2021 an outdoor bar table was placed, to enjoy the evening sun with a glass of wine.
January 2019: the private parking space is ideal for guests of Strandjutter 26. December 2018: the first snow of this winter.
October and November 2018: hard work was done on Strandjutter 26. We created the parking space behind the house, surrounded by small dunes. You can now drive directly from the Jan Roepespad into your own parking space. At the front, the lawn has become larger. The terrace was cleaned with high pressure and there are new mattresses for all beds. In November a contractor carried out interior repairs to the woodwork and it was painted inside.
June 2018: there are 4 new chairs for the dining table. April 2018: 2 new lamps from Riviera Maison above the dining table; the lamps on the bedside tables have also been renewed.
November 2017: the terrace was cleaned with high pressure for winter and the inside was made cosy for the holidays. May 2017: the outdoor table was replaced with a new wooden table.
February and March 2017: HD TV on Ameland at last. By removing the trees on the heath, Strandjutter 26 is once again beautifully located on the heath, with a clear view again, also from the bedroom.
The shell paths were given new shells, the terrace was cleaned and the thatched roof was repaired with new thatch. At the entrance between the dunes there is now a beautiful beach pole, also to display the new name: STRANDJUTTER 26. Your parking space is now also clearly marked.
KABEL NOORD installed super-fast wifi internet in the cottage. 2 lovely sun loungers with cushions, to truly relax. The rear exit has been changed so that you now sit freely in front of the cottage. The black dining table has been replaced by a light Riviera Maison table and a storage cupboard was made in the hall for the travel cot and the children's chair. There is now digital TV.
